PPP Agency together with partners held a workshop on Unsolicited proposal projects

Today, February 18th, online workshop on unsolicited proposal projects was held, organized by IFC – International Finance Corporation, PPP Agency and Ministry for the Development of Economy Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.

The event is aimed at raising awareness of public authorities and local governments representatives about the life cycle of unsolicited proposal projects, their preparation and implementation, especially the procedure of performance analysis in Ukraine.

In total, more than 90 people took part in the training event, including representatives of 13 central executive bodies and 19 local governments.

Experts from the PPP Agency and the Ministry of Economy told the participants about the peculiarities of current Ukrainian legislation and organizational procedures for working with unsolicited proposal projects, as well as considered real cases of unsolicited proposals in Ukraine.

In particular, during the workshop participants learned about:

  • main features of unsolicited proposal projects, their tasks and opportunities;
  • mechanisms that allow to enjoy the benefits of unsolicited proposals and stimulate competition;
  • organizational procedures for working with unsolicited proposal projects, important for transparency and the most efficient use of funds.

One of the speakers at the event was Philip Neves, a senior infrastructure specialist in the Public-Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility (PPIAF), a highly qualified specialist with extensive experience in implementing unsolicited proposal projects. During the workshop, he acquainted the participants with the world’s leading experience and the basic principles of unsolicited proposal projects.
