Environmental And Social Commitment Plan (ESCP) for the PREPARE Ukraine project (under the Ukraine Government PPF)

The PPP Agency, as the Project Implementing Entity, will implement the Project “Preparation of Sustainable Projects to Promote the Recovery of Ukraine (PREPARE Ukraine)” within the framework of grant assistance from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA), under the general supervision of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

The grant is financed by the Ukraine Relief, Recovery, Reconstruction and Reform Multi-Donor Trust Fund.

The PREPARE Ukraine project aims at

✔️supporting Ukraine in preparing for the implementation of projects under the Ukraine Government Project Preparation Facility (Ukraine Government PPF), prioritized as part of the Ukraine public investment management (PIM) process, and at the same time 

✔️ building the institutional and technical capacity of government institutions to ensure effective management of public investments and the preparation of high-quality infrastructure projects.

In general, the Ministry of Economy and the PPP Agency shall ensure that the PREPARE Ukraine project is carried out in accordance with the Environmental and Social Standards (ESSs) and Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP).

In agreement with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA), this ESCP will be revised from time to time, if necessary, to reflect adaptive management of PREPARE Ukraine project changes or unforeseen circumstances or in response to PREPARE Ukraine project performance.
